[Chris.pirillo.com] C:\PIRILLO.EXE: Just had my session on Users at Bloggercon. I wasn’t sure how it went, but several people came up to me afterwards and told me that they really appreciated that - it was a psychotherapeutic session, enabling users to complain about software (why it doesn’t work, why it’s messed up, how they wish it could be better).
[Gnomedex.com] Conference Updates: For you see, though AMDs corporate policy currently does not allow for blogging - they understand that being at Gnomedex and establishing real relationships with bloggers is key to their ongoing communications strategy. Tell them that were here for them, whatever they need. And youll be able to talk with the right AMD folks at Gnomedex - where the relationship goes from there is completely between you and them.
[Socialsoftware.weblogsinc.com] The Social Software Weblog: Specifically, while it is meaningful for a mainstream media organization to include links indicating "what the blogosphere is saying about this topic" - I would contend that it is meaningful in a different way for prominent parties in the citizen journalism camp and in the traditional media camp to permanently display each others' headlines in a box on their sites. It's an interesting form of mutual recognition that goes beyond the relatively casual link list to the medium in general.
[Blog.broadbandmechanics.com] Marc's Voice: Marc Canter Uncategorized http://blog.broadbandmechanics.com/2006/06/yesterday-sure-was-a-fun-day I really enjoyed the second half of Bloggercon yesterday, after getting past the initial “what is blogging, how do I blog, what microphone do you use, lets all be Citizen Journalists” portion. Funny how I always fall asleep during the Citizen Journalist sessions. Same thing happened to me at Les Blog.
[Feedster.com] Feedster on: gnomedex: BlogHer, Gnomedex, Bloggercon and perhaps the very new vloggercon all fit this model--one that assumes there is a persistent, engaged community that continues outside and independently of the actual event. This is an idea that seems extremely relevant to me--a post-Burning Man vision of conferences as tribal gatherings and flashpoints for ongoing action.
