[Bwianews.com] Broadband Wireless Internet Access / WiMAX: at VON, on the IP Television panel, I heard a key piece of information that I'd been waiting to hear - whether Akimbo's model was viable, and whether or not they were able to get video bits to their user's Akimbo boxes over existing Broadband connections (you know, the slow ones that put us so far behind the rest of the world.) Akimbo's answer was yes, and yes. That was all I needed to hear - while there will continue to be a place for live streaming video over IP (Super Bowl, breaking news of truly national import) soon enough that business won't be much.

[Isen.com] isen.blog: You don't get a rule making out of the FCC in less than a year or six months, and in Internet time that can be forever, so making sure we focus on those handful of core regulatory values, and having the courage to shed the rest, seems to be the billion dollar question. There will be core regulatory values to protect, but we will need to judge what those values are, commit to them, focus on them, and be confident and courageous enough to say it, and to hell with the rest of this stuff.
