VoxxMail > Gross hack of the day: adding names to Vonage voicemail email ...
[Something better to do] The script vonage-vmail-filter.pl reads the aforementioned caller ID CSV file, as well as a CSV file you’ve exported from your Outlook contacts, and uses the information in those files to filter a voicemail notification email message on stdin and send the (possibly modified) notification to stdout. You can configure the script which of the two CSV files to read, i.e., you can take advantage of either the caller ID information from vmail-cid.pl, or the Outlook export CSV, or both.

[Techfun] Phone Phlexibility - Part Two: You will be notified via an e-mail with a direct link to the voicemail or, optionally, via SMS/Text Message to your cell phone. Also unlike eVoice, GrandCentral uses Ajax and Adobe Flashtm technology throughout its portal so everything can be accessed in the same way regardless of your operating system and web browser of choice.
[Scrollin' On Dubs] Observations from first week of making calls using SugarCRM: This was a showstopper before because it’s unprofessional and prohibitive in the USA to have that show up on callerid but you can now purchase a skype number and have it use that number as its callerid. You can also forward that number to your main office line when your skype is off or if you want to have a separate voicemail for sales, you can set that up and have visual voicemail from wherever there’s an internet connection.
[CopyRunStart.Net] Get Free minutes with T-mobile My Fav 5 plan and GrandCentral.com ...: Now you place your contacts that you talk to less frequently into the GrandCentral.com address book, they make this a fairly easy process - you can download the current list in CSV format and using Excel or another spreadsheet program you merely need to fill in the blanks and upload back to your GrandCentral.com account.
[WebWorkerDaily] 3jam: An Alternative to Google Voice?: For those of us who are used to the clearly-defined packages offered by most cell phone and VoIP providers, it’s bewildering to be confronted with a choice of monthly fees and SMS packages, and to realize that the monthly fees include only a ridiculously small number of incoming minutes (just 30!) and no outgoing minutes at all.
[VOIP-info.org Wiki Changes] Asterisk - voip-info.org: Asterisk needs no additional hardware for Voice-over-IP, although it does expect a non-standard driver that implements dummy hardware as a non-portable timing mechanism (for certain applications such as conferencing). A single (or multiple) VOIP provider(s) can be used for outgoing and/or incoming calls (outgoing and incoming calls can be handled through entirely different VOIP and/or telco providers)
[The Open Sourcerer] Siemens Gigaset 685IP Phones and Asterisk Review | The Open Sourcerer: The handsets support SMS type texting and there is an option to configure a jabber server (IM). The Siemens Gigaset VOIP network, which you get automatically subscribed too when you buy your phone is the default configuration, but you can change it to your favourite IM network should you wish.
