[Comments for iPhone in Canada Blog: Tips, Tricks, and News for Canadian iPhone Users] I have the 16gb iphone with 1.1.4 firmware and I am on Fido.I seem to be having the same issue with the red dot always on the phone icon and it is always on the voicemail icon.When i miss a call i get the number of calls in the red dot on the phone icon but i never get a number on the voice mail red dot to indicate how many messages i have. I do receive a text from fido telling me i have a voice mail and who called but i don’t get the number in the voice mail red dot.

[Lifehacker: Top] I tested one of YouMail's free transcription services, which the company says "vary in quality" compared to paid plans, and are limited to one contact or five messages from anybody, against MessageSling's one-week trial of their 20-message-per-month "Basic" plan. I'd have liked to compare a YouMail paid service against MessageSling, but "ordering" a free plan from YouMail somehow blocked my attempts to buy a paid plan.

[Nick's Blog] One thing that's particularly nice is that they will e-mail you voicemails as attachments (I wish they would not then also store them in a voicemail box that has to be hosed out periodically, but that's another issue). The one downside is that these voicemails are attached as µLAW WAV files, which aren't compatible with the iPhone.
